Welcome reception — Stockholm City Hall, 14 September. The meeting opens with an evening reception at Stockholm City Hall, hosted where the Nobel banquet is held each December. The reception includes food and drinks and a welcome from a representative of the City of Stockholm. Attendance is included in the registration fee.

Gala dinner — Vasa Museum, 16 September. The conference dinner takes place at the Vasa Museum, where tables are set beside the towering hull of the Vasa: launched in 1628, sunk twenty minutes into her maiden voyage, and raised from Stockholm harbor three centuries later almost intact. Few conference dinners come with a 400-year-old warship at eye level. Seats are limited — book the gala with your registration.
